Hud (Peace be Upon Him)

Hud was a Prophet of Allah who was sent to the 'Ad people to warn them about their idolatrous ways and call them to the worship of Allah alone.

'Ad was an ancient Arab tribe who were known for their strength and technological advancements. They lived in the city of Iram, which was said to have been built with lofty pillars. However, the 'Ad people were arrogant and disobedient to Allah. Hud was sent to warn them about their idolatrous ways and call them to the worship of Allah alone, but they rejected his message and challenged him to bring punishment upon them. Allah sent a fierce wind that destroyed the 'Ad people and left their city in ruins (Quran: Surah Hud 11:50-60, Surah Al-Fajr 89:6-14).
