Ismail (Peace be Upon Him)
Ismail was a Prophet of Allah who was born to Ibrahim and his wife, Hagar. He was known for his piety and submission to Allah's will.
Ibrahim was married to Sarah, but they were unable to have children. Sarah gave Ibrahim her servant, Hagar, as a wife, and Hagar bore Ibrahim a son, Ismail. Ibrahim loved Ismail very much and prayed to Allah to bless him. When Ismail was a young boy, Allah commanded Ibrahim to take him and his mother to a barren valley in Makkah and leave them there. Ibrahim obeyed Allah's command, and Ismail and Hagar were left in the valley with only a small amount of water and dates. However, Allah provided for them, and they survived in the valley. When Ismail grew older, Allah commanded Ibrahim to sacrifice him as a test of his faith. Ibrahim informed Ismail of Allah's command, and Ismail willingly submitted to Allah's will. However, Allah replaced Ismail with a ram and spared his life. Ismail went on to become a Prophet of Allah and a righteous man (Quran: Surah Al-Saffat 37:99-113, Surah Al-Anbiya' 21:85-86).
