Harun (Peace be Upon Him)

Harun was a Prophet of Allah who was the older brother of Prophet Musa (Moses).

Harun was a Prophet of Allah who was the older brother of Prophet Musa. Harun was appointed by Allah to be a helper and supporter of Musa in his mission to free the Israelites from the oppression of the Pharaoh. When Musa went to Mount Sinai to receive the Tablets of the Law, the people of Israel became impatient and created a golden calf to worship. Harun opposed the creation of the golden calf and urged the people to return to the worship of Allah. Harun remained a loyal supporter of Musa throughout his mission, and went on to become a Prophet of Allah and a righteous man (Quran: Surah Al-An'am 6:84-87).
